Sweden isn’t really a country that people in Japan would think about when you mention the western world. They get interested in USA, Germany and other more famous countries more easily. Many Japanese people even get surprised when I say we speak Swedish as a main language in Sweden, not English. So when I saw this Swedish flag in the opening and ending credits of the very awesome anime Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai (long title is long, lol (it’s called “Ano Hana” for short)) I got a little happy, haha. :D I wonder what lead to the idea of putting the Swedish flag there… :o
